1. About PenniRent

PenniRent is a marketplace platform that allows users to rent houses, rooms, and equipment; hire skilled workers; share rides; and find roommates, all within one secure app. PenniRent is currently available in Ghana and will expand to other African countries over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older and complete identity verification before you can transact on PenniRent. Artisans, landlords, equipment owners, and drivers must also pass category-specific verification before creating a listing.

3. Escrow and Payments

All payments made on PenniRent are held in escrow. Your money is never released to the other party until both sides confirm that the agreed service, property, or item has been delivered as described. Supported payment methods include MTN MoMo, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo, and approved crypto wallets. No bank account is required.

4. Staged or Milestone Payments

Large jobs can be broken into agreed stages. Payment for each stage is released only after that stage is confirmed as completed satisfactorily by both parties.

5. Tokens and Rewards

PenniRent may award platform tokens to landlords, artisans, and active users for using the platform. Token value, redemption terms, and availability are subject to change and are governed by a separate token policy published in the app.

6. Ratings and Reviews

After every transaction, both parties may rate each other. These ratings build trust scores that affect visibility on the platform. Fraudulent or retaliatory reviews may result in account suspension.

7. Prohibited Conduct

• Providing false identity or listing information
• Transacting outside the PenniRent escrow system
• Damaging rented property and failing to disclose it
• Harassing or abusing other users

8. Liability

PenniRent is a facilitator, not a direct party to any rental or service contract. We do not guarantee the condition of listed properties or equipment beyond the protections described in our Refund and Dispute Policy.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Country-specific addenda will apply as the platform expands to other countries.
