- Contact details (phone number, Mobile Money or wallet address)
- Listing information (property photos, location, pricing)
- Transaction records (amount, date, counterparty, status)
- Ratings and reviews you give or receive
- Device and usage data (OS, app version, session logs)
2. Why We Collect It
Your data is used to verify users, process escrow payments, resolve disputes, detect fraud, improve the platform, and comply with applicable Ghanaian law.
3. Payment Data
Payments are processed through Mobile Money providers or approved crypto wallets. PenniRent does not store full card numbers or Mobile Money PINs. All escrow and payout records are encrypted at rest.
4. Sharing of Data
We share your data only with the counterparty to your transaction (limited to what is necessary), payment processors, identity verification partners, and regulatory authorities when legally required. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data Retention
Transaction records are kept for a minimum of five years to support dispute resolution and regulatory compliance. You may request deletion of non-essential data by contacting our support team.
6. Your Rights
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion, subject to legal retention obligations
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications
7. Security
PenniRent uses encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.
